Make a Payment
Pack 279 recognizes that with today’s busy families, the days of check-books and cash on-hand are rare. To provide as much convenience as possible, Pack 279 accepts several payment methods for yearly dues, class-B gear, special events and “pay as you go” monthly outings.

Pack 279 is now accepting on-line payments via Venmo, a PayPal company. Venmo allows you to conveniently make payments using your cell phone or computer from your bank account, debit card, or credit card. Payments using a bank account have no extra fees. However, online credit card and debit card payments will incur fees so please add $0.30 plus 3% to your payment amount to cover all processing fees.
To make payments you will need to start by creating a Venmo account at https://venmo.com/CubScout-Pack-279 or by installing the Venmo app on your cell phone and following the prompts.
Here is how you can use Venmo to make payments:
Download the iOS or Android app.
Tap the pen and paper icon.
You can type in the name “CubScout-Pack-279”, or scan the Venmo Code show on this page.
Enter payment amount and for the description, enter the scout’s name and event (ex: “Sam Scout – Registration”).
If you are paying for multiple campers or events, please pay for them in separate Venmo transactions, NOT in a single payment. Otherwise, you risk not getting credited for some items.
Log into your PayPal account and use the ‘Send & Receive‘ option to make payments without merchant fees. This option is available only if your Paypal and bank account are connected. Send money via Paypal to Pack279cub@gmail.com and select the “Sending to a Friend” option. Be sure to include the scout’s name and event (ex: “Sammy Scout – Iron Chef Campout”) in the notes field!

About Lion Scouts
The new pilot program for kindergarteners is now in its second year and Pack 279 is proud to be a selected pack to offer the program. Learn more about the approach of Lions and how it introduces scouting core values and fun to your 5 or 6-year-old.

Once you create an account, you will be linked to your Scout’s profile and able to record, edit, and monitor his progress through earning the 5 required Achievements and 5 electives. We encourage parents to visit Scoutbook at least monthly.
